Scholarship for excellence

As part of the competition for the enrollment of doctoral students in the academic year 2022/2023. a competition is being announced for the awarding of Scholarships for Excellence to students of Postgraduate Doctoral Studies in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology.

Doctoral Study committee will exempt from tuition fees one student who has the best results according to the following criteria of excellence:

 

– The student meets the basic requirements for admission to the PGS EKA

 

- During his studies, the student was a demonstrator at his Department 

 

- During the studies, the student participated in the summer/winter school of the home Department or some related activity of the scientific institution

 

- During his studies, the student participated in an international student exchange within the framework of the Erasmus program or some other competitive student mobility program

 

- During the studies, the student participated in scientific and/or professional conferences (proves this with abstracts from the conferences)

 

- During the studies, the student participated in scientific research work under the mentorship of the research leader (the principal researcher should attach a detailed description of the student's role in the project, and his achievements, if there is no published work) 

 

- During and after studies, the student published independent or collaborative scientific and professional works in scientific and professional books, other scientific and professional publications and journals

 

– During the studies, the student was the holder or participated in the implementation of student research (attach a detailed description of the student's role in the project and his achievements, if there is no published work) 

 

- During his studies, the student actively participated in the work of professional student associations (attach a detailed description of the activities in the association)

 

- During his studies, the student is the winner of a department, faculty, university, professional state award for the best student, student, research or similar work that promotes the profession

 

- During his studies, the student won an award from his home faculty (e.g. Franjo Marković) 

 

- During his studies, the student won the Rector's Award of UniZG

 

- During his studies, the student performed a student or volunteer internship related to his studies, and participated in university community work projects.

 

The scholarship is awarded based on a public tender. After the end of the competition, the Council of Studies will make a decision on the selection of the student who will receive the scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded for a period of three years, about which an Award Agreement is concluded with the student Scholarship for excellence.

The scholarship is canceled if the student does not fulfill the regular obligations in the doctoral studies provided for in the study schedule, in which case the scholarship is awarded to the second best candidate who enrolled in the study at his own expense.

 

The scholarship student is obliged to highlight the financial support of the Faculty in his doctoral work, as well as in works created on the basis of doctoral research.
